Agropromfin has at its disposal a storage capacity of 50,000 tons, in silos and warehouses, the silos are made up of cells with a capacity of 150 tons each (being dedicated silos for seed grains) located in 6 counties, the warehouses are located near the cities of Botosani and Suceava, and cumulatively can store 36,000 tons.
Each of our silos is equipped with an automatic loading/unloading system from the cells, temperature probes in each cell to monitor the product temperature, aeration fans, a 50 to/h capacity tiller for pre-cleaning, a grain dryer and a scale.
Cereals must be stored at an optimal level of temperature and humidity to maintain quality.
Preparations begin with the arrival of the product, at which time quality analyzes must be carried out to determine humidity and foreign bodies.
In order for the storage of grain production to be carried out correctly, it is necessary to take into account the humidity, temperature or their predisposition to infection.
These fundamental parameters for grain storage determine the physical characteristics of the harvest of wheat, corn, barley, sunflower, sorghum and rapeseed.
The reference methods for the quality of agri-food raw materials and food products, to which the growers must refer, are established by the International Organization for Standardization, whose norms are taken over by our country through the Romanian Standardization Association, as mandatory.
